I always felt Ficociello had one of the most physically projectable bodies in his first draft class. In this clip, you can see the slight spread and slight crouch in his stance, a flat bat start, little top-tap trigger, and the sweeping uppercut from the right side. He’s also a switch-hitter. Hard working dude, made it the hard way through high school baseball and into the draft. Earned every inch of it with talent and heard it when he didn’t work. Proud example of not being a product of the showcase system. A follow through 2013.
